REPUBLICANS GET A GIFT THANKS TO A LACK OF PROOFREADING

Years ago a politician joked that a bill had to be passed to find out what’s in it.

Well, the Democrats just passed a major crime bill, and what we found inside was a big surprise.

Especially to Democrats.

Neatly tucked into the middle of the fourteen-hundred-page bill were a few pages that make it illegal for any District Attorney in the country to implement a “no cash bail” policy. And any policies that currently exist are immediately repealed.

Also in the bill, one hundred billion dollars to support local police departments.

Far-left liberals who are proponents for emptying the prisons and defunding the police are furious at the news, as this eliminates what has basically been a “catch and release” system for criminals in cities run by progressive DAs.

How this ended up in the massive bill is still an unanswered question, as several Senators and their legal staffs were involved in writing it, though there are still moderate Democrats in the Senate. Meanwhile this revelation comes with bad timing, as the Senate is currently in recess with most members out of town.

No comment from the White House thus far. President Howard Silver signed the bill into law just a few days ago. Apparently he didn’t read it either. But now he’s found out what’s in it.
